Will social media kill intellectual property? Denise Howell speaks with Mark Sigal, CEO of vSocial, Inc., a social networking for video platform that enables content owners, site operators and online marketing organizations to custom brand, target, virally distribute and monetize their message via video. He states that media is in a never ending evolutionary state and the ability of users to use copyrighted content will continue to be an issue to owners. Sigal talks about vSocial's business strategy and how the company deals with problematic content.

Mark also discusses the nature of law and how it allows things to sort themselves out over time.. He believes that the scorched earth policy used by the music companies shows their difficulty in dealing with the changes brought about by digital delivery. In the end, he states that a legal contract is only as good as the people who make them.

Mark Sigal is the co-founder and CEO of online video service provider, vSocial, Inc. a perennial Alexa Top 10 internet video destination site and makers of the vConnect Social Networking for Video platform. He is a seven-time entrepreneur, having launched multiple companies in the consumer internet (vSocial, Me.com, Verdada, CafeNet) and network infrastructure (Rapid Logic, UXComm, Tribe Communications) spaces.

Under Sigal's guidance, vSocial has built customer relationships with GM's Chevy unit, CBS (local affiliates), and Latin media outlet, VOYTV, and been featured on both ABC and MarketWatch. vSocial's products and services enable content owners, portal operators and online marketing organizations to custom brand, target, virally distribute and monetize their message via video.

A graduate of UCLA (cum laude), Sigal is a frequent public speaker and writer, and maintains the popular web log, The Network Garden.
